What would you say makes the perfect snack? For me, I would say it needs to be quick, easy, and delicious. Make it healthy, too, and it's like hitting the snack lottery! This healthy peanut butter fruit dip is all of the above. The fact that my picky toddlers will eat it is just an added bonus.
It is silky and smooth and can be thrown together in under 5 minutes. With only 2 ingredients it is probably the simplest make ahead snack short of pouring something out of a box.
All you need for this one is 1/2 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt and 1 T of peanut (or almond) butter. That is seriously it. Mix it up really good, and you are ready to go.
To make a super simple grab and go snack, I divide it into 3 equal portions and store it in the fridge. Then whenever I am ready for a quick snack, I just grab one out along with some fruit.
I read once that if you make healthy snacks readily available, you are more likely to grab them when you get those sudden hunger pangs. I tend to agree. I have found if I keep some apples and bananas in a fruit bowl on the counter, and a few containers of this healthy peanut butter fruit dip in the fridge, grabbing a healthy snack is a now brainer. At under 75 calories a serving (when divided into 3 servings) and a punch of protein, it is perfect for any craving. Just make sure to check the labels on the ingredients you use for an exact calorie count on yours!
